"Hinged," A Study of the Book of Ephesians

Tuesdays, September 8 - November 10
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Sanctuary)

As Fall lies before us there seems to be more unanswered questions and uncertainty. Yet, God has not changed or moved and it is still certain that the people of God must be in the Word of God. We are called to make time for the study, teaching and meditation of God’s Word a high priority! We need the Word of God to dwell in our hearts, minds and lives to be the people of God. There are so many opportunities for division in our families, friendships, communities and even our churches right now. I truly want to challenge you to come together with a small group to study God’s Word.

What book of the Bible are we doing and how is this going to work?
We are studying the book of Ephesians and using a study guide called: Hinged, Vitally Connected to Christ and His Church. We will have lectures at church on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 in the Sanctuary. These will be live-streamed and recorded. We will have small groups. As allowed we will have small groups on site after the lecture. However, we will have small groups in homes and via Zoom based on your preference and schedule. When you register for the Ephesians study there is a place for you to request what day of the week and what time of day you are available to participate in a small group. Our goal with these small groups is to put ladies in different Sunday School classes together. It is a wonderful opportunity to grow with sisters in Christ across our congregation. However, the Women’s Ministry Team knows that this is also a good opportunity for Sunday School classes to study together. When you register please indicate if you would like to be in a small group made up of ladies from different Sunday School classes or in a small group with your Sunday School class.

Is there homework? Yes.

How long does it take? The homework is divided across five days and will generally take thirty minutes each day.

What if all I can do is read the passage and listen to the lecture? Should I still participate in a small group? Absolutely.

Divine Design Discipleship 2020/21 Teaching Series: “Expectations”

Tuesdays, September 8 - November 17
10:00 - 11:15 a.m. | Worship and the Word
11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | Mentoring groups (optional)

Join us for Divine Design’s new series Tuesday, September 8. You can participate in person, or join online.

EXPECTATIONS have tremendous power. We bring them to every relationship and every situation. The problem? We often don’t recognize them for what they are. Certain expectations can lead to confusion, conflict, and disappointment, while others free us to see God, ourselves, and His people with more clarity and grace.

In this class we will learn to:

  • Identify our current expectations
  • Uncover why we’re expecting what we’re expecting
  • Begin to bring our expectations in agreement with God’s Word
  • Develop appropriate expectations of God and others

The Divine Design community comes together to learn and to grow. In our small groups, you’ll find wise leadership and a safe place for sharing, processing, and receiving prayer. Listen online anytime at www.DivineDesignDiscipleship.com. Can’t come on Tuesday mornings? Contact Kathy Girardeau at [email protected] about additional times for mentoring groups.
